A defective pump at the St. Julien Booster Station is the reason why parts of South-East Trinidad are experiencing a disruption in their normal water supply schedule, an advisory issued by the Water and Sewerage Authority explains.
WASA says that extensive repair works currently underway at the facility are scheduled to be completed by Friday 21st January 2022.
The company customers that a temporary amended schedule for the affected areas is available on the Authority’s social media pages at Facebook page – WASA Trinidad & Tobago and Twitter – @wasatnt.
WASA also assures customers that a limited truck borne service will be available upon request.
Affected areas include parts of St. Mary’s / Moruga, New Grant, Craignish, Hindustan, 6th Company Road.
Supply disruption in Siparia
In an update on the supply to parts of Siparia served by the Siparia Water Treatment Plant, WASA is advising customers there is a short unforeseen delay in completion of repairs to one of the High Lift pumps at the facility.
“Those repairs should be completed today, Monday 10th January 2022,” the Authority confirmed, as it apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
Affected areas include: Quinam Road, Sennon Village, Railway Road, Mary, George & Victoria Street, High Street, Coora Road, Upper DeGannes, Welcome Peters Street, Coora Hernandez Road, Coora Extension, Mendez.
