Ban­dits stole a bride and groom’s cloth­ing dur­ing a break-in at a home in Bar­rack­pore.

Po­lice said the 36-year-old home­own­er dis­cov­ered the theft on Sat­ur­day when she re­turned home af­ter be­ing away for al­most two months.

She told po­lice that she locked and se­cured her home at Sukhan Trace on No­vem­ber 7, 2024, and re­turned on Jan­u­ary 4. She dis­cov­ered a wed­ding dress val­ued at $6,000, a $5,000 gents wed­ding suit, cos­tume jew­ellery worth $800 and two 25lb LPG tanks val­ued at $600 miss­ing.

Po­lice said ban­dits gained en­try in­to the house by forc­ing open a door.

Of­fi­cers from the Bar­rack­pore Po­lice Sta­tion vis­it­ed the scene. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
