Defence Force women will be keen to stay on top of the T&T Women’s League Football (TT WoLF) standings when matches resume this weekend (March 15-16) after the month-long break for the Carnival celebrations.
In their final match before the break back on February 16, the Defence Force women eked out a 1-0 win over defending champion Club Sando at the Mahaica Sporting Complex, Point Fortin, with Aaliyah Prince scoring the decisive item for the visitors in the 38th minute which secured a fifth straight win from as many matches for a maximum of 15 points, three more than Tobago Chicas while Club Sando slipped to third after dropping their first points in four matches.
On Sunday (March 16), Defence Force will travel to Arima for a 4 pm duel against the fifth-placed University of T&T (UTT) at UTT Ground, O’Meara Road, Arima with the hosts, winners of two of their four matches so far this season.
