LON­DON – Jos But­tler will re­turn to cap­tain an Eng­land side con­tain­ing two Bar­ba­di­ans in Jofra Archer and Ja­cob Bethell, dur­ing their white ball tour of the Caribbean lat­er this month.

The 14-man squad was an­nounced on Tues­day and will see But­tler, who has been out since Au­gust with a calf in­jury, lead the side for three One Day In­ter­na­tion­als and five T2oIs be­gin­ning Oc­to­ber 31 in An­tigua and fin­ish­ing No­vem­ber 17.

It will be his first se­ries in charge fol­low­ing a re­view of Eng­land’s set-up af­ter June’s T20 World Cup, which saw head coach Matthew Mott step down.

Archer, who played his first ODI se­ries in 18 months for Eng­land when he played in the just con­clud­ed five-match se­ries against Aus­tralia, and the 20-year-old Bethell who made his de­but for Eng­land in the T20 se­ries and al­so fea­tured in the ODIs, have al­so been in­clud­ed.

Bethell made an en­cour­ag­ing start to his in­ter­na­tion­al ca­reer, av­er­ag­ing 28 with the bat in five ODIs and 23 in two T20Is. He al­so took four ODI wick­ets at an econ­o­my rate of 6.61.

Mean­while, un­capped leg-spin­ner Jafer Chohan, Hamp­shire fast bowler John Turn­er and War­wick­shire all-rounder Dan Mous­ley, have earned their first Eng­land call-up.

The 22-year-old Chohan has tak­en 22 wick­ets in 23 T20 Blast match­es for York­shire, in­clud­ing 17 in 10 games in 2024, and is the first grad­u­ate of the South Asian Crick­et Acad­e­my (SACA) to be named in an Eng­land squad.

A fur­ther two play­ers, who are yet to be named, will join the tour from the Eng­land Test squad, who fin­ish their tour of Pak­istan on Oc­to­ber 28.
