France-based based top T&T women's table-tennis player Rheann Chung and locally based Brittany Joseph, will be this country’s representatives at the upcoming International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pan American Senior Championship from November 13-19 in Lima, Peru.
Chung, a five-time Caribbean Singles women’s champion is ranked fourth going into the women’s Singles Tournament behind Ecuadorean duo, Nathaly Paredes and Mylena Plaza as well as third-ranked Venezuelan, Neridee Nino.
Joseph, is ranked sixth, just behind Barbadian Kenady King with Venezuela’s Lisa Palacios and Barbadian, Janae Lewis, completing the top eight players in the women’s field.
Venezuelans’ Cecilio Correa and Jan Medina head the men rankings followed by Honduran Jose You, Colombian Julian Ramos, Jamaica’s Simon Tomilson, Panama’s Leonardo Castillo, Guyana’s Miguel Wong, and another Jamaican, Kane Watson.
Among the teams who will compete are Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Canada, USA , and Ecuador.
