Theo Crovador banged in a dou­ble to lead De­fence Force to a 4-0 blank­ing of Cen­tral Soc­cer World to ex­tend their lead at the top of Group Two of the T&T Pre­mier Foot­ball League Tier II com­pe­ti­tion con­tin­ued on Sun­day.

The vis­it­ing De­fence Force was ex­pect­ed to face a stern test at the St Mary’s Recre­ation Ground, Freeport, but in­stead breezed in­to an ear­ly 2-0 ad­van­tage via Josi­ah Su­perville, his sixth of the sea­son, in the tenth minute, and cap­tain Ja­mali Gar­cia, five min­utes lat­er.

Six min­utes be­fore the in­ter­val Crovador got his first and De­fence Force’s third be­fore he added the oth­er in the 55th minute for his fifth on teh cam­paign as they pushed their points tal­ly to 28 points from ten match­es, well clear of op­po­nents Cen­tral Soc­cer World while Union Hall Unit­ed is third with 15, and a match in hand, one more than MIC Matu­ra Re­Unit­ed, 2-1 win­ners over AIA Ea­gles FC at Matu­ra Recre­ation Ground, Matu­ra.

For Mathu­ra Re­Unit­ed, Kerin Vin­cent scored on ei­ther side of Alex­is Black­well’s item for Ea­gles in the 38th, with his strikes com­ing, first in the 35th, and then in the 54th.

Guaya Unit­ed is next with 12 points af­ter be­ing held to a 1-1 draw by vis­it­ing Club San­do at Guayagua­yare Recre­ation Ground while San Fer­nan­do Gi­ants and Pe­tit Val­ley/Diego Mar­tin Unit­ed al­so drew 1-1 at Ma­haica Sport­ing Com­plex.

On Sat­ur­day in Group One, Mal­abar Young Stars whipped RSSR FC 4-1 to stay three points clear with 19 points from nine match­es, three more than Po­lice FC, who edged de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Harlem Strik­ers 2-1 at the An­cil El­cock Recre­ation­al Ground in Ca­roni.
