A true pi­o­neer of T20 crick­et whose ca­reer in the for­mat spans two decades, Kieron Pol­lard con­tin­ues to reach mile­stones late in his sto­ried ca­reer.

​With Fri­day night's sev­en-wick­et win for the Trin­ba­go Knight Rid­ers (TKR) against the Bar­ba­dos Tri­dents in the Caribbean Pre­mier League (CPL) at the Queen's Park Oval in St Clair, Port-of-Spain, came an­oth­er dis­tinc­tion for the man dubbed "Lord Pol­lard."

​The stat line—Chris Green caught Do­minic Drakes, bowled Kieron Pol­lard—made the all-rounder on­ly the fifth man in the his­to­ry of the for­mat to reach 100 T20 wick­ets on Caribbean soil. The for­mer TKR cap­tain has col­lect­ed near­ly one-third of his 341 ca­reer T20 wick­ets on home soil.

​Al­ready the record hold­er for the most ca­reer runs across fran­chise and in­ter­na­tion­al T20 crick­et com­bined at a whop­ping 14,933, think about what those over­all num­bers would have been had his in­ter­na­tion­al ca­reer not been cur­tailed by his on-again, off-again re­la­tion­ship with Crick­et West In­dies.

​Pol­lard, 39, start­ed Fri­day's match on 98 wick­ets in the Caribbean and inched clos­er to the land­mark when he had Kevlon An­der­son caught by com­pa­tri­ot Akeal Ho­sein at short cov­er from a lead­ing edge, leav­ing the Tri­dents slip­ping to 59 for three. When he en­ticed Green to swat at a short, slow­er de­liv­ery, Drakes com­plet­ed the dis­missal at long-on.

Long be­fore that, there was ab­solute­ly no doubt that Pol­lard's name was ce­ment­ed among the game's greats. His fig­ures in the West In­dies read 67 CPL wick­ets, 23 in T20 In­ter­na­tion­als, and 13 from oth­er tour­na­ments, in­clud­ing the Caribbean T20, which pre­dat­ed the CPL. He stands among gi­ants on the list of bowlers with 100 or more wick­ets around the re­gion.

Above him in fourth is vet­er­an Guyana Ama­zon War­riors spin­ner Im­ran Tahir with 133 wick­ets. The Pak­istan-born for­mer South African in­ter­na­tion­al's wick­ets have all been plun­dered in the Caribbean Pre­mier League.

Dwayne Bra­vo is third on the list with 165 wick­ets (129 CPL, 31 T201, 5 oth­er). Sec­ond po­si­tion be­longs to Bar­ba­di­an Ja­son Hold­er, who is the first West In­di­an to claim 100 wick­ets in the three ma­jor for­mats and has 173 T20 wick­ets on Caribbean soil (112 CPL, 61 T20I).

Top­ping the list is Sunil Nar­ine, who re­cent­ly sur­passed Bra­vo as the CPL's all-time lead­ing wick­et-tak­er and now has 136 scalps to his name, to go along with 28 in in­ter­na­tion­al T20s and 11 in oth­er com­pe­ti­tions.
