T&T Un­der-15 and U-19 ta­ble-ten­nis teams were the ben­e­fi­cia­ries of new team jer­seys gen­er­ous­ly spon­sored by Paria Fu­el Trad­ing Com­pa­ny, on Sun­day in prepa­ra­tion for the up­com­ing Caribbean Re­gion­al Ta­ble Ten­nis Fed­er­a­tion (CRT­TF) Cham­pi­onships 2025.

The of­fi­cial dis­tri­b­u­tion of the jer­seys took place dur­ing a re­cent train­ing ses­sion at the Ox­ford Club, Pad­more Street, San Fer­nan­do with Ner­is­sa Feveck of of Paria Fu­el Trad­ing Com­pa­ny, whose pres­ence high­light­ed the com­pa­ny’s strong com­mit­ment to youth de­vel­op­ment and na­tion­al sport, mak­ing the pre­sen­ta­tion to mem­bers of the na­tion­al team.

The play­ers se­lect­ed to rep­re­sent­ing T&T in the U-15 Girls cat­e­go­ry are Ji­nai Samuel, Jan­nah Mo­hammed, Eliz­a­beth Ra­jah, and Zuri Radge Coomar while the Un­der-15 Boys team fea­tures Daniel Bhim, Ma­teo Mollineau, and the Noel broth­ers, Aaron and Aiden and in the Un­der-19 age-group, the quar­tet of Ma­lik Gopaul, Josi­ah Joseph, Sekel Mc In­tosh, and Ameer Mo­hamed com­prise the boys teams while the girls team is amde up of Chloe Fras­er, Jor­dan Thong, Jerisse El­der, and Lyl­lana Bood­han.

The coach­ing staff in­cludes An­tho­ny Brown, Ian Joseph, Ed­win Humphreys, and An­drew Ed­wards who have been rig­or­ous­ly prepar­ing the mem­bers of the team over the past nine weeks, par­tic­i­pat­ing in at least 22 in­ten­sive train­ing ses­sions at the Na­tion­al Rac­quet Cen­tre.

The coach­es have been ably sup­port­ed by as­sis­tant coach­es Lin­da Par­tap-Bood­han, Anil Ram­lakhan, as well as s Trevor Mc In­tosh, who has led the strength and con­di­tion­ing com­po­nent of their train­ing.

The team al­so ben­e­fit­ted from psy­chol­o­gy and men­tal prepa­ra­tion ses­sions with Dion La Fou­cade, help­ing them de­vel­op the mind­set and re­silience re­quired for high-lev­el com­pe­ti­tion.

In the fi­nal days lead­ing up to de­par­ture, train­ing will con­tin­ues at the War­renville Unit­ed Ta­ble Ten­nis Club, al­low­ing the ath­letes to sharp­en their skills and main­tain fo­cus as the tour­na­ment ap­proach­es.

The team, to­geth­er with their coach­es and man­ag­er Michelle Solomon, will de­part for Bar­ba­dos on Fri­day (April 19).

Up­on re­ceiv­ing the jer­seys the T&T Ta­ble Ten­nis As­so­ci­a­tion (TTT­TA) ex­ec­u­tive mem­bers, coach­ing staff, and ath­letes ex­tend­ed their heart­felt thanks to Paria Fu­el Trad­ing Com­pa­ny for their gen­er­ous con­tri­bu­tion. The spon­sor­ship not on­ly en­hances the team’s uni­ty and ap­pear­ance but al­so boosts morale as these young ath­letes car­ry the red, white, and black with pride on the re­gion­al stage.

Spe­cial ap­pre­ci­a­tion was al­so ex­tend­ed to Deep­ak Dawar, Pres­i­dent of the Ox­ford Club, for gra­cious­ly pro­vid­ing the venue for on­go­ing train­ing ses­sions and for his un­wa­ver­ing sup­port of youth ta­ble ten­nis de­vel­op­ment.
