T&T Under-15 and U-19 table-tennis teams were the beneficiaries of new team jerseys generously sponsored by Paria Fuel Trading Company, on Sunday in preparation for the upcoming Caribbean Regional Table Tennis Federation (CRTTF) Championships 2025.
The official distribution of the jerseys took place during a recent training session at the Oxford Club, Padmore Street, San Fernando with Nerissa Feveck of of Paria Fuel Trading Company, whose presence highlighted the company’s strong commitment to youth development and national sport, making the presentation to members of the national team.
The players selected to representing T&T in the U-15 Girls category are Jinai Samuel, Jannah Mohammed, Elizabeth Rajah, and Zuri Radge Coomar while the Under-15 Boys team features Daniel Bhim, Mateo Mollineau, and the Noel brothers, Aaron and Aiden and in the Under-19 age-group, the quartet of Malik Gopaul, Josiah Joseph, Sekel Mc Intosh, and Ameer Mohamed comprise the boys teams while the girls team is amde up of Chloe Fraser, Jordan Thong, Jerisse Elder, and Lyllana Boodhan.
The coaching staff includes Anthony Brown, Ian Joseph, Edwin Humphreys, and Andrew Edwards who have been rigorously preparing the members of the team over the past nine weeks, participating in at least 22 intensive training sessions at the National Racquet Centre.
The coaches have been ably supported by assistant coaches Linda Partap-Boodhan, Anil Ramlakhan, as well as s Trevor Mc Intosh, who has led the strength and conditioning component of their training.
The team also benefitted from psychology and mental preparation sessions with Dion La Foucade, helping them develop the mindset and resilience required for high-level competition.
In the final days leading up to departure, training will continues at the Warrenville United Table Tennis Club, allowing the athletes to sharpen their skills and maintain focus as the tournament approaches.
The team, together with their coaches and manager Michelle Solomon, will depart for Barbados on Friday (April 19).
Upon receiving the jerseys the T&T Table Tennis Association (TTTTA) executive members, coaching staff, and athletes extended their heartfelt thanks to Paria Fuel Trading Company for their generous contribution. The sponsorship not only enhances the team’s unity and appearance but also boosts morale as these young athletes carry the red, white, and black with pride on the regional stage.
Special appreciation was also extended to Deepak Dawar, President of the Oxford Club, for graciously providing the venue for ongoing training sessions and for his unwavering support of youth table tennis development.
