Pooran continues fine form as Super Giants dominate Titans

LUC­KNOW – Nicholas Pooran scored his third half cen­tu­ry of the 2025 In­di­an Pre­mier League (IPL) to pro­pel his Luc­know Su­per Gi­ants to a six-wick­et win over the Gu­ju­rat Ti­tans in In­dia on Sat­ur­day.

Pooran, the tour­na­ment’s lead­ing run scor­er, clob­bered 61 from 34 balls, in­clu­sive of sev­en six­es and one four, as the Su­per Gi­ants chased down the Ti­tans’ 180 for six, fin­ish­ing on 186 for four off 19.3 overs.

Pooran added 58 runs for the sec­ond wick­et with open­er Aiden Markram – who blud­geoned 58 from 31 balls to put the Su­per Gi­ants on course for vic­to­ry.

Ear­li­er, Ti­tans’ open­ers Shub­man Gill and Sai Sud­harsan both scored half cen­turies to give their side an ex­cel­lent start.

Skip­per Gill made 60 from 38 balls, while Sud­harsan scored 56 from 37 balls in an open­ing part­ner­ship of 120 in 12 overs.

How­ev­er, Shardul Thakur (2-34) and Ravi Bish­noi (2-36) struck at key in­ter­vals to stem the flow of runs.

Sher­fane Ruther­ford scored 22 off 19 balls for the Ti­tans.
