Former national youth footballer, midfielder John-Paul Rochford, 21, has signed a two-year contract with Guatemalan club, Antigua GFC.
The club campaigns in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala, which is the highest division of football in the country.
Rochford, a former top player in the Secondary Schools Football League with Queen’s Royal College (QRC), has captained both national Under-17 and U-20 teams in the past.
The younger brother of former national player, Jean-Luc Rochford, John-Paul is a former FC Santa Rosa and North East Stars player and had a taste of the international professional club set-up having been part of the final participants at previous Digicel Kick-Start Academy stints at English Premier League clubs, Chelsea FC and Manchester City.
