Two of this coun­try's young golfers Is­abel­la Rams­deen and Adam Green are get­ting an op­por­tu­ni­ty of a life­time as they par­tic­i­pate in the pres­ti­gious Roy­al and An­cient (R&A) Ju­nior Golf Open in Kil­marnock, Barassie, Scot­land from Mon­day.

Ac­cord­ing to the T&T Golf As­so­ci­a­tion, (TTGA), the pair got an in­vi­ta­tion and all ex­pens­es paid to play against the best Un­der-16 golfers in the world.

Rams­deen is list­ed as the 39th golfer to take the greens in the girls' cat­e­go­ry as she tees off at 5.25 am (T&T time) in the field of play­ers rep­re­sent­ing 48 coun­tries.

Green will have his turn at 5:42 am and is 25th of 62 en­trants rep­re­sent­ed in the boys' di­vi­sion. He is al­so the sec­ond lo­cal men's play­er to par­tic­i­pate in the com­pe­ti­tion.

Isa­iah Row­ley rep­re­sent­ed T&T at the 2022 edi­tion. Row­ley had a to­tal score of 177 and missed the main cut on the sec­ond day.

Pres­i­dent of the TTGA Wayne Bap­tiste is al­so present at the Open.

The R&A Ju­nior Open is an 18 hole event held over two days. It was first held in 1994.
