Two of this country's young golfers Isabella Ramsdeen and Adam Green are getting an opportunity of a lifetime as they participate in the prestigious Royal and Ancient (R&A) Junior Golf Open in Kilmarnock, Barassie, Scotland from Monday.
According to the T&T Golf Association, (TTGA), the pair got an invitation and all expenses paid to play against the best Under-16 golfers in the world.
Ramsdeen is listed as the 39th golfer to take the greens in the girls' category as she tees off at 5.25 am (T&T time) in the field of players representing 48 countries.
Green will have his turn at 5:42 am and is 25th of 62 entrants represented in the boys' division. He is also the second local men's player to participate in the competition.
Isaiah Rowley represented T&T at the 2022 edition. Rowley had a total score of 177 and missed the main cut on the second day.
President of the TTGA Wayne Baptiste is also present at the Open.
The R&A Junior Open is an 18 hole event held over two days. It was first held in 1994.
