Bar­ba­di­an Xza­vier Wig­gins has got a lock on the ti­tle when he fol­lowed up his 76 on Tues­day with a 75 yes­ter­day for a to­tal of 151, to lead by 29 strokes on the sec­ond day of the 10th Re­pub­lic Bank Caribbean Ju­nior Open which con­tin­ued in beau­ti­ful con­di­tions at the St An­drews Golf Course, Mo­ka, Mar­aval. Twelve for­eign ju­niors are com­pet­ing this year, in all, there are 69 ju­niors com­pet­ing in the var­i­ous cat­e­gories.

Wig­gins leads the boy's 16-17 age group, from lo­cal boy Bran­don Matabadal, who is on 180 and To­ba­go's Reyaz Ram­bar­ran who is in third place on 186 with St Lu­cia's Joseph Rayshorn in the fourth spot with 188.

In the 16-17 girls, T&T's Yeji Lee did not play as well and added an 81 to her first-day score of 73 but her 154 to­tal is 18 strokes bet­ter than her com­pa­tri­ot Sarah Ram­phal who im­proved to­day shoot­ing an 83 for sec­ond place be­hind a to­tal of 172. Krista Kent from To­ba­go is in the third po­si­tion on 211 ahead of St Lu­cian Lisa Daniel on 227.

Chris Richards Jnr fin­ished poor­ly to shoot 79 for a to­tal of 155 among the boys in the 14 to 15 age group. He leads Zi­co Cor­reia by two strokes in sec­ond place for his 157. Jean-Marc Chevrotiere is in third with scores of 82, and 85 for a 167 to­tal, with Dravid Bhim of T&T in fourth place on 171. Ir­fan Ema­malie is fifth on 174.

The girl's 14-15 age group is led by Bar­ba­di­an Emi­ly Odwin with match­ing 85's on the first two days of play. She is 43 strokes ahead of lo­cal tal­ent Azari­ah Joseph who is on 213, coun­try­woman Ja­da Charles is two strokes be­hind on 215 af­ter scores of 111 and 104.

Ethan Hill leads the 13 & un­der age group with scores of 89 and 87 for a to­tal of 176. Bar­ba­di­an Quin­ton Hel­jen­jenk has shot 96 and 88 to to­tal 184 to lie in sec­ond place, while T&T's Jer­seen Boodram on 186 af­ter scores of 87 and 99.

The girls 13 and un­der T&T's Chloe Ajod­ha record­ed scored scores of 94 and 99 for a 15 stroke lead over coun­try­woman Faa­timah Ema­malie on 208.

Tiffany Walk­er won the Girls 6-hole shoot­ing con­test by 35 strokes beat­ing Na­talyia Ram­jag in­to sec­ond place on 36 strokes. The boy's ver­sion was won by Shamuel Le­tren with 34 strokes, he pipped five-year-old Bar­ba­di­an Eli Wig­gins who had 34.
