Kyra Yee-Loy reg­is­tered six goals as Le­gion Cadets slammed Le­gion Scouts 14-0 to inch clos­er to the T&T Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (TTFA) North/East G-League Un­der-14 Di­vi­sion play­offs at the Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies ground, St Au­gus­tine on Sun­day.

Yee-Loy got her goals in the 22nd, 24th, 26th, 37th, 45th, and 58th min­utes while Xaria John helped her­self to a hat-trick in the 30th, 34th and 36th.

The quin­tet of Zariyah Bat­son (2nd), Ru­bi Roberts (16th), Oni­av­el Mc Carthy (19th), Tay-Lynn Calderon (29th) and Faith Wal­dron (59th) chipped in with a goal each in the win, their fourth from as many match­es for a max­i­mum of 12 points, three be­hind fel­low un­beat­en team Trend­set­ter Hawks who slammed Crown Trace 8-1 led by two goals each from Amaris Collins-Joseph (33rd, 59th), Sara Roopc­hand (34th, 39th) and Christi­na Har­ra­gin (45th, 50th)

Trend­set­ter Hawks al­so got items from Jew­el Fran­cois as ear­ly as the fifth minute and Anya Lon­don in the 29th while Crown Trace got their lone re­ply via Samaya Al­leyne in the 54th.

AC Port-of-Spain stayed in con­tention for the play­offs when they joined Pro Se­ries and Crown Trace on six points each, but from a match more, cour­tesy a 7-3 de­feat of Trend­set­ters thanks to a beaver-trick from Niesha Man­swell in the 40th, 43rd, 45th and 50th.

Myah Spencer added a dou­ble for AC PoS in the sev­enth and 27th, and Mari­ah Seenath, the oth­er in the 34th while Trend­set­ters replies came off the boot of Jes­si­ca St Louis in the 11th and 13th, and Khy­la De Couteau in the 20th.

Down South, South Stars got a tre­ble from Zara Chase in the 12th, 25th and 58th and one from Aliyah Mehar­ris in the 30th to blank Po­lice Youth Club Moru­ga FC 4-0 to go top of the ta­ble on goal-dif­fer­ence with one match left to play.

In To­ba­go, To­ba­go Chi­cas out­classed Com­bined Ballerz 3-0 in­spired by a dou­ble from T'Yara Mc Ken­na and one from Ja­ma­iah Con­stan­tine while Black Pan­thers had items from An­na Baird and Don­ni­ca Stew­art in their 2-0 win over Jew­els SC as both win­ners se­cured play­off spots.

In U-12 Di­vi­sion, South Zone, Po­lice Youth Club Moru­ga won 2-1 over Point Pi­o­neers with Akeila For­rester (ninth) and Meya Mitchell (27th) on tar­get for the win­ners to can­cel out Point Pi­o­neers' item from Amari­ah Men­doza in the 39th.

It was the fourth win from as many match­es for PYC Moru­ga to top the group with 12 points.

In the North East, Le­gion Cadets won 3-0 over Le­gion Scouts for their third vic­to­ry on the trot while over in To­ba­go, the top two teams, Jew­els SC and Com­bined Ballerz, both won by sim­i­lar 2-1 mar­gins over Black Pan­thers, and To­ba­go Chi­cas, re­spec­tive­ly.

At the end of the round-robin phase, the top two teams as well as the best two third-placed teams will qual­i­fy for the 'Big Eight'.
