These were the watch­words Stu­dent of the Year Ur­mi­la Ra­mad­hin im­part­ed to her peers when she de­liv­ered the vale­dic­to­ry ad­dress at the 33rd grad­u­a­tion ex­er­cise at Barataria South Sec­ondary School (BSSS), Third Ex­ten­sion Av­enue, Barataria, on Ju­ly 1.

Ra­mad­hin said: "We should make wise de­ci­sions. We should not al­low our­selves to be slaves to fash­ion, slaves to drugs, slaves to voic­es that yell 'you can­not suc­ceed'. "No! We were born free! And we must con­tin­u­al­ly eman­ci­pate our­selves from the mind­set and habits that con­tin­u­al­ly try to lock us down".
