The Shaffique Khan trained, five-year-old gelding, Hesuntouchable made every pole a winning one, yesterday at santa Rosa Park, Arima when he won the feature Starter Allowance event, over 1,750 metres on the main track at Santa Rosa Park, Arima. Sent straight to the front by Sheldon Rodrigo, Hesuntouchabull was closely attended by Sonata's Melody with favourite, Donut Prince tracking in third and Ascot Warrior bringing up the rear in the four horse field. Going to the far turn, Hesubtouchbull was pressed by Sonata's Melody with Donut Prince contented to track the pace as Ascot Warrior trailed the field.

The order was maintained as the horses swung into the straight with Hesuntouchanull still holding sway but the Glenn Mendez trained Sonata's Melody would go away and kept battling. However, inside the final 200 metres, the Dr David Freeman owned horse asserted and pulled out a bit more to run out winner by 3/4 length. Sonata's Melody ran an improved race to be second with Donut prince a disappointing third. Hesuntouchabull registered the time of 1.52.87 for the trip. The days leading rider was Sheldon Rodrigo who landed two winners, Sea Rockette and Hesuntouchabull. Training hopnours for the day were shared between trainer John O'brien and Shaffique Khan, who each saddled two winners. Racing takes a break next Saturday but will resume at the centralised facility on January 24th.
