Have you ever been saved by a phone call? For those of you who know what I'm talking about, retrace your steps. Remember when you were praying for that thing to come through but it seemed to be taking forever? But just when you were about to give up and you said, God maybe this is not for me, the phone rang and on the other end it was someone telling you your loan was approved. Or how about that time when you were wondering how you were going to pay your mortgage because you lost your job? And just when the bank was about to seize your home, a phone call from that company you applied to called to let you know that you got the job. When that happens those ten bad things that occurred over the past week almost seem non-existent and you begin to count your blessings.
When the door opens
This year I decided to go back to school. A bit of anxiety was experienced as I thought it would be completely difficult to juggle work, study life and taking care of my 13-month-old daughter, so I signed up to do a diploma in marketing until she gets a bit older when I can have more time and more energy to focus on doing my degree. Forgetting I applied online to a University to study communications, the diploma was a done deal as I am already half way through the syllabus. However, recently I received a phone call from the University informing me that I had been accepted. I pondered a little still wondering if I could make it through the task ahead, but then I realised this opportunity was one of the doors I've been asking God to open for sometime now, so I'm just going to go for it.
You see, there are seasons in everyone's life and you better keep watch for them because when they arrive and you don't recognise or fail to see them, in the blink of an eye they can be gone. Time may tarry but it will wait on no one. Today is your blessing either you position yourself to receive it or not. I have decided to take advantage of this blessing that has come at such a time. I believe God knows what's best for me and so this door I will not close.
Shalom!
