As Jef­frey Mack pre­pares to step down as group chief ex­ec­u­tive of lead­ing re­gion­al in­sur­er Guardian Group, he is be­ing toast­ed for his stew­ard­ship.On De­cem­ber 12, mem­bers of the Guardian Group fam­i­ly turned out in large num­bers at the com­pa­ny's head­quar­ters for a get-to­geth­er filled with choice mu­sic, sump­tu­ous cui­sine and good cheer.

Mack be­came the Group CEO of Guardian Hold­ings at the be­gin­ning of 2009, bring­ing with him a com­bi­na­tion of in­dus­try ex­per­tise and in­ter­na­tion­al ex­pe­ri­ence and man­age­ment know-how.For 18 years be­fore that, he was at Swiss Rein­sur­ance. His last po­si­tion there was man­ag­ing di­rec­tor and chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer of Swiss Rein­sur­ance's Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices Busi­ness Group in Zurich, Switzer­land.
