In a move to deepen commercial ties and unlock new export opportunities, the T&T Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) has launched a trade mission to Chile from November 10 to 14.
The initiative is led by TTMA CEO Dr Ramesh Ramdeen and includes a delegation of over 20 representatives from 12 leading companies in the manufacturing sector.
A release from the TTMA said the mission is designed to capitalise on the Partial Scope Agreement between T&T and Chile, which provides preferential market access for goods and lays the groundwork for increased trade and investment.
TTMA aims to leverage this framework to expand the reach of local manufacturers into Latin America’s dynamic markets.
Participating companies span key industries such as printing and packaging, food and beverage and chemicals and include HADCO, DSB Marketing, RHS Marketing, Langston Roach Industries, David’s Plumbing, Pepe’s Marketing and Isratech.
Over the five-day visit, the delegation is expected to engage in a robust agenda featuring business-to-business (B2B) meetings, seminars on doing business in Chile, networking events, market visits and guided tours.
These activities are aimed at fostering commercial partnerships, gaining market intelligence and promoting T&T’s products and capabilities.
TTMA said it views this mission as a critical step in strengthening bilateral relations and positioning its members for long-term success in Latin America.
The association remains committed to supporting its members in navigating new markets and driving sustainable growth through international trade.
