Twelve competitors will be moving on to the semifinals of the 2024 National Stick Fighting Competition, which takes place on Wednesday, January 31, from 7 pm, at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex.
A release from the National Carnival Commission (NCC) hints at an exciting semifinals, in the wake of “a heated preliminary round on Friday, January 26, at the Ojoe Road Recreational Grounds, Sangre Grande.”
“The NCC proudly welcomes all to attend Wednesday’s semi-finals as we continue to show our support for the Stick Fighting community and the National Stick Fighting Competition as an annual fixture on the Carnival list of events,” the NCC says in the release.
General Admission to Wednesday’s competition round costs $75. Tickets are available at the NCC Box Office, Carnival City and online at islandetickets.com.
