Five men ap­peared be­fore the Ari­ma Mag­is­trates’ Court ear­li­er this week charged with sev­er­al of­fences in­clud­ing rob­bery with ag­gra­va­tion, house break­ing and griev­ous sex­u­al as­sault fol­low­ing var­i­ous re­ports in the Ari­ma area.

A state­ment from the Po­lice Ser­vice re­ports that the men were ar­rest­ed fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions by of­fi­cers at­tached to the Ari­ma Po­lice Sta­tion Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment (CID).

The TTPS con­firms that JABARI PAUL of St Paul Street, East Dry Riv­er, along with a 17-year-old boy of Lodge Place, East Dry Riv­er and of Ward Lane, El Soc­cor­ro, ap­peared on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 18th be­fore Mag­is­trate In­dra Ramoo-Haynes, charged with rob­bery with ag­gra­va­tion, pos­ses­sion of a stolen ve­hi­cle and pos­ses­sion of firearm and am­mu­ni­tion. The two ac­cused were de­nied bail and the mat­ter post­poned to No­vem­ber 15th, 2021.

In a sec­ond mat­ter, DAR­I­ON HOLD­ER, 22, of Race Course Road, Cara­po, ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Deb­by Ann Bas­saw at the Ari­ma Mag­is­trates’ Court on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 18th and plead­ed not guilty. HOLD­ER was grant­ed $80,000 bail with sure­ty and his mat­ter was ad­journed to No­vem­ber 16th.

Mean­while, a 45-year-old man of Long­den Street, Ari­ma, al­so ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Deb­by Ann Bas­saw on Mon­day, charged with griev­ous sex­u­al as­sault. The man was grant­ed $150,000 bail with a sure­ty and he is sched­uled to reap­pear be­fore the court on No­vem­ber 16th.

And in an­oth­er mat­ter, YUD­HI­S­TIR SHEOP­ER­SAD, 20, of Lovers Lane, Waller­field, Ari­ma, was ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore Mag­is­trate Deb­by Ann Bas­saw, to­day, to an­swer the charge of house break­ing with in­tent.
