Ninety-five police recruits today passed another major milestone in their journey to become members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
The recruits took the ‘Oath of Office and Secrecy’, at a swearing ceremony at the Trinidad and Tobago Police Academy Gymnasium, St. James, Port-of-Spain.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Stephen Williams, who delivered the feature address at the ceremony told the recruits that they must always keep in mind that the public has certain expectations of police officers and the level of service they are trained to deliver.

He, therefore, urged the recruits to meet and exceed all expectations of people during their career.Assistant Commissioner of Police ‘Administration’ Ainsley Garrick, administered the Oath and Exhortation to the recruits.
The recruits were urged to never take a plea for help from a member of the public for granted during the course of their duty.
They were also told that the greatest thing they can do in their career and life is to help people in need.

These recruits who were admitted to the Academy in 7th July 2018, will now proceed to receive their firearm training, before continuing on in their journey to become officers of the TTPS.
