Ail­ing So­ca Star Blaxx will re­main hos­pi­talised un­til week­end as he re­mains un­der ob­ser­va­tion at Med­ical As­so­ciates, St Joseph.

While the artiste con­tin­ues to re­cov­er fol­low­ing re­cent­ly con­duct­ed surgery for lung and kid­ney com­pli­ca­tions, a new Go­fundme page was set up in his sup­port.

The artiste’s man­ag­er Giselle Gellineau-Pen­rose shared the page stat­ing that it “is the on­ly au­tho­rized Go­fundme ac­count for Mr Dex­ter Stew­art aka Blaxx. We thank every­one for their con­tin­ued sup­port as he is hos­pi­tal­ized with lung and kid­ney is­sues. Your do­na­tions in any size is most ap­pre­ci­at­ed and we will en­sure that he gets all the love and sup­port you give. We thank you for the years of love and look for­ward to him be­ing back on his feet. This ac­count is nec­es­sary as many in­ter­na­tion­al per­sons have ex­pressed their want to sup­port.”

Guardian Me­dia was told that the page was set up to re­place the ini­tial do­na­tion dri­ve spear­head­ed by So­ca Artiste Dawg E Slaugh­ter over week­end, af­ter nu­mer­ous per­sons over­seas ex­pressed in­ter­est in as­sist­ing but got in­to dif­fi­cul­ty reach­ing out to share their do­na­tions.

“It al­so brings a lev­el of ac­count­abil­i­ty to the ef­fort, in terms of mon­ey col­lect­ed,” a source close to Blaxx told Guardian Me­dia yes­ter­day.

The “Leh Go” and “Hulk” singer was tak­en to the hos­pi­tal on Tues­day af­ter his con­di­tion ap­peared to wors­en less than a week af­ter be­ing dis­charged from the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ence Com­plex, where he had un­der­gone the sur­gi­cal pro­ce­dures.

It was dis­cov­ered that he had flu­id in his lungs when he was tak­en to the St Joseph med­ical fa­cil­i­ty.
