After being robbed at his home, a victim was forced to drive the suspect to a location, where he got out and escaped on foot.

Police said a 33-year-old project manager and his 69-year-old relative were asleep at their Princes Town home during the early hours of Tuesday morning, when the bandit entered the house by forcing open a window.

The victim had returned home from work around 2.45 am.

His relative was already asleep. He secured the house and then went to bed. However, around 3.30 am, his relative was awakened by a man’s voice in her bedroom.

She saw a man who claimed he had a firearm. He demanded that she give him her valuables. The elderly woman became afraid and gave him jewellery, a black Samsung A-21 and $100.

The robber then ordered her to wake the project manager, who was asleep in his bedroom. She complied. The suspect then robbed him of jewellery, a Samsung Note 8 and $1,000.

Following this, the suspect ordered him to his (victim) Toyota Hilux and instructed him to drive towards New Grant.

When they were close to the New Grant Cemetery, the suspect ordered the victim to stop the vehicle. He then got out and ran off, leaving the two cell phones in the vehicle with the victim.

PC Clarence, of the Princes Town Police Station, is investigating.
