Po­lice be­lieve gang reprisals will fol­low the mur­der of a 22-year-old Co­corite man who was shot dead along the West­ern Main Road in Co­corite on Thurs­day night.

A car owned by the imam of a lo­cal masjid was set on fire in Wa­ter­hole, Co­corite, by an­gry res­i­dents soon af­ter.

Adisa Har­ry was shot while dri­ving along the West­ern Main Road near the West Shore Med­ical Cen­tre in Co­corite, as an­oth­er ve­hi­cle drove along­side him.

Har­ry was able to dri­ve to the Four Roads Po­lice Sta­tion car park, where he died.

Two oth­er oc­cu­pants, in­clud­ing a woman, were al­so shot and wound­ed.

They are both from Wa­ter­hole, Co­corite.

Po­lice at­tached to the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion I are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
