Education Minister continues schools tours to see health protocols implemented

Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion, An­tho­ny Gar­cia, con­tin­ued his tour of the na­tion’s schools to­day, with vis­its to, to view their im­ple­men­ta­tion of some of the health and safe­ty pro­to­cols stip­u­lat­ed by the Min­istry, to keep the school en­vi­ron­ment COVID-19 free.

The Ed­u­ca­tion Min­is­ter and Min­istry of­fi­cials vis­it­ed the San Fer­nan­do West Sec­ondary School and Debe S.D.M.S Pri­ma­ry School, to­day.

The Min­istry team saw first-hand, how the South schools have been able to fol­low the new COVID-19 mea­sures out­lined in re­cent mem­o­ran­da is­sued by the Min­istry, and to eval­u­ate the ef­fec­tive­ness of the pro­to­cols be­ing im­ple­ment­ed.

Teach­ers and stu­dents are ex­pect­ed to re­turn to schools from next Mon­day 8th June 2020, to fa­cil­i­tate the com­ple­tion of School Based As­sess­ments (SBAs), as part of the CSEC and CAPE ex­am­i­na­tions.
