Four people were arrested and two firearms were seized during anti-crime exercises in the North Eastern and Eastern Divisions yesterday.
According to police reports, during an exercise in Santa Cruz the home of a 32-year-old man was searched and police discovered one Glock pistol loaded with a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition. The man who was in the house at the time of the search was arrested in connection with the find.
The same party of officers arrested a 19-year-old in connection with shooting offences. Officers then proceeded to Jennings Street, where they observed a silver Toyota Axio motor vehicle bearing false registration plates. Checks revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Piarco district. Investigations are ongoing.
