Four peo­ple were ar­rest­ed and two firearms were seized dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es in the  North East­ern and East­ern Di­vi­sions yes­ter­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, dur­ing an ex­er­cise in San­ta Cruz the home of a 32-year-old man was searched and po­lice dis­cov­ered one Glock pis­tol loaded with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 15 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion. The man who was in the house at the time of the search was ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find. 

The same par­ty of of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed a 19-year-old  in con­nec­tion with shoot­ing of­fences. Of­fi­cers then pro­ceed­ed to Jen­nings Street, where they ob­served a sil­ver Toy­ota Axio mo­tor ve­hi­cle bear­ing false reg­is­tra­tion plates. Checks re­vealed that the ve­hi­cle had been re­port­ed stolen from the Pi­ar­co dis­trict. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
