A 34-year-old man who was ar­rest­ed af­ter he was al­leged­ly caught dur­ing a house­break­ing in­ci­dent yes­ter­day has al­so been charged with Pavil­ion Break­ing and Lar­ce­ny.

Ron Bel­con is the sec­ond sus­pect ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent which took place on Thurs­day.

He is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear at the San­gre Grande Mag­is­trates’ Court to­mor­row.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 1:30 am on Thurs­day, a bar pro­pri­etor se­cured his es­tab­lish­ment lo­cat­ed on Fos­ter Road, San­gre Grande.

He re­turned at 10 am the same day and dis­cov­ered the place had been ran­sacked.

Two bot­tles of whiskey, an as­sort­ment of cig­a­rettes, and $12,000 was al­so al­leged­ly miss­ing.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions re­vealed two sus­pects al­leged­ly break­ing in­to the bar. Fur­ther en­quiries led to the ar­rest of one of the sus­pects.

WPC Joseph and PCs Leza­ma and Bud­hooram con­tin­ued in­ves­ti­ga­tions and learned that the sec­ond sus­pect was be­ing de­tained at the San­gre Grande Po­lice Sta­tion.

He was sub­se­quent­ly charged with Pavil­ion Break­ing.

Ar­co­la Deary, 46 was al­so ar­rest­ed and charged on De­cem­ber 1 by WPC Joseph.

He ap­peared at the San­gre Grande Mag­is­trates’ Court and was de­nied bail af­ter plead­ing not guilty.
