Jairy Mo­hammed, of South Trunk Road, La Ro­maine, has been charged with prae­di­al lar­ce­ny. He ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Armi­na De­onar­i­nesingh at the San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trates’ Court yes­ter­day. He plead­ed guilty and was sen­tenced to two years’ hard labour on each count.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, on May 22nd a res­i­dent of Co­conut Dri­ve, San Fer­nan­do, re­port­ed that a quan­ti­ty of man­goes was stolen from the trees in his yard ear­li­er that day as well as on May 19th. PC Andy Smith of the San Fer­nan­do Po­lice Sta­tion con­duct­ed en­quiries and ar­rest­ed the sus­pect.
