A 32-year-old man was chased and killed by gunmen in La Romaine on Wednesday night.
Ray Bunsee also known as Spoon of Pond Street, La Romaine, was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Reports indicated that around 11.45 pm he was standing in the car park of Shorty's Bar along the Southern Main Road with three friends, including an 18-year-old woman, near his Kia Cerato.
He was speaking on his cellphone when a silver wagon pulled up behind his vehicle.
Three occupants came out and began firing shots. Bunsee and his friends scampered off, but the gunmen pursued Bunsee through a track and continued firing at him. The assailants then escaped in the vehicle shortly after.
Police searched the area and found Bunsee's body in the track. No one else was injured.
Their inquires also revealed that the getaway vehicle bore false number plates. Crime scene investigators retrieved 15 spent shells and a live 5.56 bullet.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations are continuing investigations.
