A spelling error on the 'Welcome to Morvant Laventille' signage which became the subject of much social media discussion has been corrected. This was confirmed by the East Port of Spain Development Company Limited in a statement on Monday evening.

The organisation said the error which emanated from the manufacturer, has been corrected and installed at no extra cost to EPOS, as mock-ups provided did not bear any spelling errors.

The East Port of Spain Development Company Limited (EPOS) launched the Business Improvement District (BID) Project on November 18, 2020 for signs across East Port of Spain.

The launch in 2020 included the unveiling of a “Welcome to East Port of Spain” sign on the Old St. Joseph Road (eastbound) close to the Riverside Plaza; and a Transport Hub at the corner of Pashley Street and the Eastern Main Road, Laventille.
