The North Coast Road has been re­opened.

Ear­li­er to­day, the Works and Trans­port Min­istry ad­vised that it had tem­porar­i­ly closed the North Coast Road to all cit­i­zens, in­clud­ing res­i­dents as a re­sult of a fall­en tree due to overnight rain.

A tech­ni­cal team of Min­istry of­fi­cials went to the site and emer­gency crews worked to have one lane of traf­fic open to the pub­lic.

That has since been ac­com­plished.

The Min­istry says it will pro­vide an up­date on the progress of works through­out the day.
