The North-West Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty (NWRHA) is hop­ing to make Car­ni­val 2025 free of the flu as it launch­es a ma­jor vac­ci­na­tion dri­ve this Sat­ur­day, Jan­u­ary 11, 2025.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the NWRHA, start­ing this Sat­ur­day, mem­bers of the pub­lic can get their flu shot at the "One Jab, End­less Car­ni­val" Vac­ci­na­tion Dri­ve, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Sa­van­nah. The vac­ci­na­tion dri­ve will be held at the J’ou­vert & Dame Lor­raine Suite on the east­ern side of the Grand Stand.

The ini­tia­tive, which is be­ing car­ried out in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Min­istry of Health, will wrap up on Sun­day, Jan­u­ary 19—the fi­nal day to ac­cess the free vac­cines.

“The NWRHA in­vites the pub­lic to take ad­van­tage of this ini­tia­tive and en­sure they are in peak health to ful­ly en­joy the Car­ni­val sea­son,” the health au­thor­i­ty said in the state­ment.

From Jan­u­ary 11-19, free In­fluen­za Vac­ci­na­tions will be avail­able.

In ad­di­tion, men can take ad­van­tage of free Prostate-Spe­cif­ic Anti­gen (PSA) Test­ing al­so at the site, with their re­sults avail­able in just 10 min­utes.
