The North-West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) is hoping to make Carnival 2025 free of the flu as it launches a major vaccination drive this Saturday, January 11, 2025.
According to a release from the NWRHA, starting this Saturday, members of the public can get their flu shot at the "One Jab, Endless Carnival" Vaccination Drive, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Savannah. The vaccination drive will be held at the J’ouvert & Dame Lorraine Suite on the eastern side of the Grand Stand.
The initiative, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, will wrap up on Sunday, January 19—the final day to access the free vaccines.
“The NWRHA invites the public to take advantage of this initiative and ensure they are in peak health to fully enjoy the Carnival season,” the health authority said in the statement.
From January 11-19, free Influenza Vaccinations will be available.
In addition, men can take advantage of free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Testing also at the site, with their results available in just 10 minutes.
