Op­er­a­tions at the Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port are now back to nor­mal fol­low­ing an evac­u­a­tion caused as a re­sult of a re­port of a bomb scare aboard a Caribbean Air­lines flight to To­ba­go.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from Caribbean Air­lines it con­firmed that ad­vice of a threat, was re­ceived via the Air­ports Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (AATT) re­gard­ing flight BW1832 from Trinidad to To­ba­go.

"In keep­ing with the stan­dard op­er­at­ing pro­ce­dure the flight was evac­u­at­ed and the rel­e­vant agen­cies are con­duct­ing the nec­es­sary checks. All pas­sen­gers and crew were safe­ly de­planed," the re­lease stat­ed.

"Once the air­craft is cleared it will be re­turned to ser­vice," it stat­ed.

Caribbean Air­lines thanked all stake­hold­ers for their un­der­stand­ing as the air­line deals with this mat­ter.
