A second set of bones was discovered on Saturday at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital 11 days after the initial find by construction workers on the site on January 6.
On the first occasion, the bones were taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James by police to determine if they were human or animal in origin.
The second set of bones, however, was taken to a funeral home in the area by the police to be stored securely, as the Forensic Science facility was closed on Saturdays and will be open on Monday and the bones will be sent for analysis.
When Sunday Guardian contacted North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) acting Chief Executive Officer Salisha Baksh, she said "The test results had not come back yet on the first set of bones, we're still awaiting those results.
"I made enquiries after your call (on the second set of bones), I received a report that two bones were found, they did not appear to be human, but they were removed and sent for testing."
