Former T&T footballer and current ESPN analyst, Shaka Hislop, says he is doing "much better".
Hislop collapsed on live television during the broadcast of a match between AC Milan and Real Madrid at the Rose Bowl on Sunday.
He was speaking to co-host Dan Thomas when he fell. Thomas called for help, and emergency personnel tended to Hislop.
In a statement, Hislop said, "Hi everyone. Excuse the bluntness of my first message. A lot was coming at me quickly, and I wanted to just get it out there that was ok. And I am. I'm feeling much better..."
He jokingly added, "Ego still hurts like hell tho."
Hislop reflected on the moment, saying "Sometimes life gives you a moment to pause. This was mine. And I have to pay attention. Thanks for all your messages. My apologies if I can't get to them all. But please know I've read every one and appreciate you reaching out."
