Tobago is reporting some 63 new positive COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. The number of current active infections on the island now stands at 395.
That’s according to the latest update from the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Tuesday 26th April 2022.
The report also notes that no new deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the island’s death toll remains at 264 lives lost.
The most recent death on the island was reported on Friday 22nd April 2022—one (1) fully vaccinated person was recorded as the deceased on that date.
The Health Division also is reporting that eleven (11) people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Eight (8) of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while only three (3) patients have been fully vaccinated.
The Tobago COVID-19 update for 26th April 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,900.
