To­ba­go record­ed its sec­ond mur­der for the year yestere­day when the body of a man with a gun­shot wound to the head was found at Log­wood Park, Glen Road.

The body of Alex “Pa­pa” Coop­er, 22, of Hart Lane, Gov­ern­ment House Road, was dis­cov­ered by vil­lagers slumped in a drain short­ly af­ter res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­fire.

At around 6. 20 am, res­i­dents of Log­wood Park heard loud ex­plo­sions and made a re­port to the po­lice. Of­fi­cers ar­rived and found the body of a man of mixed de­scent slumped over a drain near the Log­wood Park Ceme­tery. The body was clad in white vest, black long jeans, white sneak­ers, green and red belt and a mul­ti col­ored box­ers.

Crime scene of­fi­cers processed the scene and a dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer viewed the body and or­dered its re­moval to the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal Mor­tu­ary.

The body was lat­er iden­ti­fied by Tri­cia Coop­er the sis­ter of the de­ceased.
