Two Ch­agua­nas men were sen­tenced to 12 months of hard labour for rob­bing a mi­ni-mart. The sus­pects ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Adri­an Dar­manie at the Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trates’ Court on Tues­day. The fol­low­ing is a press re­lease from the TTPS:

Two Ch­agua­nas men were ar­rest­ed on Sun­day 26th Sep­tem­ber, 2021 fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to a re­port of store­room break­ing and lar­ce­ny at a mi­ni-mart in Ch­agua­nas.

UH­DO BOODOO, 40, of En­deav­our Road, En­deav­our, Ch­agua­nas and STEPHON KHAN, 29, of Ra­jku­mar Street, En­deav­our Road, Ch­agua­nas were joint­ly charged by PC Mar­shall on Mon­day 27th Sep­tem­ber, 2021 for store­room break­ing and lar­ce­ny of one Wis­now air con­di­tion­er com­pres­sor.

They ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Adri­an Dar­manie at the Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trates’ Court on Tues­day 28th Sep­tem­ber, 2021, and were both sen­tenced to 12 months’ hard labour. On Sep­tem­ber 25th, 2021, the own­er of a mi­ni-mart lo­cat­ed on En­deav­our Road, En­deav­our, Ch­agua­nas se­cured her busi­ness around 5:30 pm.

When she re­turned the fol­low­ing day at 7:45 am, she found the shop bur­glar­ized and one Wis­now AC com­pres­sor val­ued at $1,500 miss­ing. In­ves­ti­ga­tions were con­duct­ed by PC Mar­shall of the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion and led to the ar­rest of the sus­pects.
