An unemployed Barataria man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Emerine Harewood, which occurred on September 4, 2024.
In addition to the murder charge, the Police Service reports that 29-year-old Carlon Joseph (also known as ‘Two Face’) was charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition, when he appeared before Master Franklin in the High Court North B, on Tuesday 17 December 2024.
The Sufficiency Hearing date has been set for June 17, 2025.
Emerine Harewood, 49, a handyman of Barataria, was shot and killed on September 4, 2024, in the district.
Officers of the Barataria Police Station arrested a male suspect in connection with the matter on December 9, 2024.
Following advice received from Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Sabrina Dougdeen-Jaglal, on December 14, Carlon ‘Two Face’ Joseph was charged with the offences by WPC Diaz of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region Two, on December 17.
Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Victor, W/Insp. Sylvester, and Insp. (Ag.) Simon, all from HBI Region Two.
