Two men were killed in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents in Mor­vant and Ari­ma in a space of 15 min­utes yes­ter­day.

In Ari­ma short­ly be­fore 7 pm, Drew Kow­lessar was shot dead in front of the Drag Mall on Pro Queen Street.

Kow­lessar, of Sher­wood Park, was known as “the Con­go Boss” in Ari­ma.

Po­lice sources said Kow­lessar was al­leged­ly as­so­ci­at­ed with a known drug deal­er in “the Con­go” and his killing may be drug re­lat­ed. He faced sev­er­al charges be­fore the courts years ago, in­clud­ing for firearm and mar­i­jua­na pos­ses­sion.

And in Mor­vant, al­so short­ly be­fore 7 pm, a man iden­ti­fied as Isa­iah James, from Ro­maine Lands in Mor­vant, was shot sev­er­al times.

He was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival at hos­pi­tal.
