The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is denouncing as “false and misleading”, the implications of a video currently in circulation of repair works to a 48-inch transmission pipeline at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant.
In a media release, WASA says the video in question does not accurately represent the facts associated with the repairs undertaken on the pipeline.
The Authority says it is committed to open and honest communication with stakeholders and that acting Chief Executive Officer, Kelvin Romain, addressed this matter transparently, during media tours of the jobsite on Thursday and Friday.
WASA says in events of unplanned disruptions, it will keep the national community informed via official channels and urged its customers to reference those channels for accurate information.
