WASA to fix leaking Point Fortin pipeline on Wednesday

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty is sched­uled to car­ry out planned re­pairs to a leak­ing 20-inch di­am­e­ter trans­mis­sion pipeline, along the South­ern Main Road, Point Fortin, on Wednes­day 22nd June 2022.

Re­pairs to the pipeline, which is lo­cat­ed in the vicin­i­ty of the Dun­lop Round-A-Bout, will be con­duct­ed be­tween the hours of 5:00 am and 10:00 pm on Wednes­day, ac­cord­ing to a WASA ad­vi­so­ry.

As such, cus­tomers in the Point Fortin area will ex­pe­ri­ence an in­ter­rup­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply while the re­pairs are tak­ing place.

Ar­eas to be af­fect­ed in­clude:

●   Point Fortin

●   Vance Riv­er

●   Cochrane

●   South Cen­tral Road

●   New Vil­lage

●   Cap-de-Ville

WASA ad­vis­es that it may take up to 24 hours for the sched­uled pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply to nor­mal­ize fol­low­ing the com­ple­tion of these re­pair works.
