The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Point Fortin and La Brea served by the Point Fortin Desalination Plant, that they may experience low pressures or no water supply on Tuesday 22nd September 2020, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
This is in order for Seven Seas Water, owner/operator of the Point Fortin Desalination Plant, to carry out emergency repair works to a 12-inch diameter pipeline at the facility. Areas affected include: Point Fortin, Parry Lands, Cochrane, Brighton Cato, Savannah, Harriman Park, Reservoir Hill, Mahaica, Fanny Village, Point Liguore, Cap de Ville Main Road and all side streets, Salazar Trace, Egypt Village, Gonzales, Sesame Street, Lot 10, New Village, Clifton Hill, Techier, Vance River, La Brea, Vessigny, Union & LABIDCO Estates.
Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas. For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
