Four masked ban­dits ac­cost­ed two women dur­ing a home in­va­sion and robbed them of $4,000 in valu­ables on Sun­day.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said the women, aged 50 and 75, were left se­vere­ly trau­ma­tised af­ter the or­deal. In­ves­ti­ga­tors said the women locked their home and went to bed around 9 pm on Sat­ur­day.

Around 4.15 am Sun­day, they were awak­ened by nois­es and saw four masked men, one armed with a gun, in­side their home. The men de­mand­ed that the women hand over all their cash and valu­ables.

The in­trud­ers ran­sacked the house and stole $2,000 in cash and two Sam­sung cell­phones worth $2,000. They es­caped in a wait­ing car. The vic­tims called the Gas­par­il­lo Po­lice Sta­tion, and PC Khan and Bal­go­b­in re­spond­ed to the trou­ble call.

Po­lice said en­try was gained through a door in the house.

Gas­par­il­lo po­lice are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
