Four masked bandits accosted two women during a home invasion and robbed them of $4,000 in valuables on Sunday.
Investigators said the women, aged 50 and 75, were left severely traumatised after the ordeal. Investigators said the women locked their home and went to bed around 9 pm on Saturday.
Around 4.15 am Sunday, they were awakened by noises and saw four masked men, one armed with a gun, inside their home. The men demanded that the women hand over all their cash and valuables.
The intruders ransacked the house and stole $2,000 in cash and two Samsung cellphones worth $2,000. They escaped in a waiting car. The victims called the Gasparillo Police Station, and PC Khan and Balgobin responded to the trouble call.
Police said entry was gained through a door in the house.
Gasparillo police are continuing investigations.
