Mur­der ac­cused, An­tho­ny Ram­sumair, who had been on the run from po­lice af­ter es­cap­ing from the Youth Train­ing Cen­tre (YTC) in Arou­ca last Oc­to­ber, was re­cap­tured by po­lice on Wednes­day night in South Trinidad.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors told Guardian Me­dia that a team of of­fi­cers—head­ed by Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Wayne Mo­hammed and in­clud­ing po­lice con­sta­bles Per­sad and Smith—held Ram­sumair at a house in the Gol­con­da Set­tle­ment, Gol­con­da, around 8 p.m.

19-year-old An­tho­ny Ram­sumair was the sec­ond of five men who es­caped from the YTC in Oc­to­ber to be re­cap­tured fol­low­ing the re­cap­ture of Jadon Fletch­er.

Three oth­ers re­main on the run from po­lice.

They are Dil­lano Mar­cano, Sha­keel Seep­er­sad and Dar­ren Scott.

Still at large are: Dillano Marcano, Shakeel Seepersad and Darren Scott.
