Murder accused, Anthony Ramsumair, who had been on the run from police after escaping from the Youth Training Centre (YTC) in Arouca last October, was recaptured by police on Wednesday night in South Trinidad.
Investigators told Guardian Media that a team of officers—headed by Senior Superintendent Wayne Mohammed and including police constables Persad and Smith—held Ramsumair at a house in the Golconda Settlement, Golconda, around 8 p.m.
19-year-old Anthony Ramsumair was the second of five men who escaped from the YTC in October to be recaptured following the recapture of Jadon Fletcher.
Three others remain on the run from police.
They are Dillano Marcano, Shakeel Seepersad and Darren Scott.
Still at large are: Dillano Marcano, Shakeel Seepersad and Darren Scott.
