ABU DHABI – In a match that saw sev­er­al stand­out per­for­mances by West In­dies play­ers, John­son Charles shined bright­est with a cru­cial half cen­tu­ry that led his Shar­jah War­riorz to a four-wick­et vic­to­ry over the Abu Dhabi Knight Rid­ers when the In­ter­na­tion­al League T20 (ILT20) con­tin­ued in the Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates on Thurs­day.

Charles’ knock of 65 from 35 balls was his sec­ond straight half cen­tu­ry in the tour­na­ment and helped the War­riorz suc­cess­ful­ly chase the Knight Rid­ers’ to­tal of 161 for eight, as they end­ed on 162 for six off 19 overs.

He launched six fours and four six­es dur­ing his in­nings and fea­tured in an open­ing part­ner­ship of 66 with Tom Kohler-Cad­more, who made 39, and then 45 with Ja­son Roy for the third wick­et.

Sunile Nar­ine took 2-20, while Ja­son Hold­er bagged 2-22 for the Knight Rid­ers.

Ear­li­er, Kyle May­ers al­so struck a half cen­tu­ry at the top of the or­der af­ter the Knight Rid­ers were sent in to bat.

May­ers hit 56 from 35 balls with six fours and two six­es, while Ros­ton Chase scored 33 from 21 balls and Hold­er added 26 from 17 balls.

Play­er-of-the-Match Adam Zam­pa was the main de­stroy­er for the War­riorz with 3-27 while Adam Milne took 3-33.
