Daurance Williams, left, and Christon Baptiste of Guardian Life of the Caribbean won the “Hole in WAND” golf tournament in Pointe-a-Pierre on Sunday.

Neither grey skies nor scattered showers could dampen the energy and enthusiasm on Sunday as Women in Action for the Needy and Destitute (WAND) hosted its third annual “Hole in WAND” Golf Tournament at the picturesque Pointe-a-Pierre Golf Club.

This year’s tournament was a sell-out event, marking WAND’s largest turnout yet, with enthusiastic participation from many of T&T’s leading companies.

First place honours went to Guardian Life of the Caribbean, with players Daurance Williams and Christon Baptiste delivering a stellar performance. Republic Bank followed closely behind, finishing with a commendable 44 points.

Prominent companies such as Nutrimix, Langston Roach, Unit Trust Corporation, and Kenson proudly joined the day’s lineup, all teeing off in support of WAND’s ongoing mission to uplift the underserved.

WAND president Amanda Jardine expressed heartfelt thanks to her board members for their continued dedication and congratulated all teams. She expressed thanks to the sponsors and donors, to whom WAND remains deeply grateful.

Funds raised during the tournament will benefit several of WAND’s projects supporting the less fortunate of society.

WAND’s next signature fundraiser, “Bubbles & Benevolence,” will take place on July 5 at Freebird, promising another meaningful opportunity to give back while celebrating in style.
