Horse of the year 2008, Storm Street to be ridden by Alan Maragh, will take on ten rivals in his quest to join the illustrious Sugar Mike, as the second thoroughbred to win the prestigious President's Cup in the history of the event.
The Dachin Racing Stable star has been drawn in post position eleven, on the outside of the field but he is expected to win, even though handing out lumps of weights to his rivals, which include the vastly improving, Blackstone Street and the newcomer, Slewsmartstrike. Also in the fray is Champagne on Deck which has rattled up a hattrick of wins, along with the John O'Brien duo of Silent Reproach and 2008 Gold Cup winner, Chief Commander.
The 1,900 metres event will be seeking to show, what the difference can be when a top class horse hands out weight to inferior opposition.
The Media Day card which has eight races will begin at 12.45 pm.
