Mar­jorie Sheila Thomas née LeBlanc. It is with great sad­ness that we an­nounce the peace­ful pass­ing of re­tired reg­is­tered nurse, Mar­jorie Sheila Thomas née LeBlanc, on 2nd Jan­u­ary, 2025, just be­fore noon, at The Lodge Nurs­ing Home in Pe­tit Val­ley. She was 92 years old. Sec­ond daugh­ter of the late Marie Claris­sa Igna­cia LeBlanc née Best and wife of the late Pe­dro Bernard Thomas, Mar­jorie will be lov­ing­ly re­mem­bered as: Moth­er (and moth­er-in-law or *part­ner­ly moth­er) of Gabriel Thomas (Au­re­lia) & (Mar­cel) & (*Don­na), Paula Thomas, the late Mark Thomas (Vic­tra), Maria De­fre­itas née Thomas (Dex­ter), Leslie Thomas, Paul Thomas (Masani), and Make­da Thomas (Bertram). Grand­moth­er to Joel, Gabrielle, Raquel, Renisse, Dar­nel, Imani, Shari, The­cla, Ja­maal, Sare­na, Mia-Marie, and Gar­rett. Great-grand­moth­er to Cameron, Kali, and Karter. Step­moth­er to the late Patrick Fer­gu­son (and daugh­ter Karen), Ho­race Wilmot Fer­gu­son (and wife Son­ny, along with sons Sean, Justin, and Do­minic and their moth­er Be­lin­da), the late Gre­go­ry Fer­gu­son (and wife Sheila, with son Ju­lian), the late Mau­reen Fal­zone née Thomas (and hus­band Frank, with daugh­ters Ash­ley and Kim­ber­ly), and Pe­ter Thomas. Mar­jorie was a sis­ter (and sis­ter-in-law) to the late Dec­i­ma Al­lum Drakes née LeBlanc (the late Carl­ton Alexan­der Al­lum) & (the late Joseph Cleophas Drakes), Wayne LeBlanc (the late Bar­bara LeBlanc née Bere­ton), Hen­ri LeBlanc (June), and Dane LeBlanc (Hazel) & (An­nette). She was an aunt to Rea­gan, Mar­lon, Cathy, Wayne Jr., Yves, Roger, Col­in, Michel An­dre, Car­lene, and Krys­tal; a first cousin to Patrick Flo­res and his late sib­lings Bernard, Louis, David, Ever­ard, Cur­tis Flo­res and Lor­raine La Bar­rie née Flo­res, along with their chil­dren, and grand­chil­dren; and a spe­cial rel­a­tive to Jas­mine Flo­res and her chil­dren Noel, Ivana, Ja­neen and grand­chil­dren. She will be deeply missed by her many rel­a­tives in the LeBlanc, Best, Phillips, Nicholls, Jacelon, Lit­tle, and Ward fam­i­lies, and by her in-laws in the Thomas, Mendez, Young, Smart, John­son, De­Matas, Charles, Thomp­son, Oliv­eros, Bed­doe, Kel­lar, and Reyes fam­i­lies. Mar­jorie was a dear friend to May Carmeli­ta Ray­mond, the late Dr. Kath­leen Spicer, Mari­ta Hyde, Dr. Claire Bel­grave, and oth­ers. She was al­so a sup­port­er and con­fi­dant to Mar­garet Al­ibey and Genevia Jean War­den, a ded­i­cat­ed mem­ber of the Liv­ing Wa­ter Com­mu­ni­ty, and a moth­er-fig­ure to many. The fu­ner­al mass for the late Mar­jorie Sheila Thomas will take place at St. Ann's R.C. Church, St. Anns Ave, Port of Spain on Fri­day, 10th Jan­u­ary, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., fol­lowed by in­ter­ment at the Lapey­rouse Ceme­tery.
