It will not be a happy start to the new year for several bmobile pre-paid customers as the company has announced that it will be increasing the price of two of its popular plans.
Effective January 1, the telecommunications provider bmobile will be increasing the cost of its three-day and 30-day prepaid plans.
A three-day $45 plan (VAT inclusive) will now cost $55.13 while a 30 day $241.88 plan (VAT inclusive) increased to $268.88.
A posting on the company’s website yesterday explained, “Despite our best efforts, we continue to be adversely affected by inflation and other economic factors, which continue to significantly drive up the cost of doing business. As a result, we are forced to make changes to our prepaid rates effective January 1, 2023.”
The price of all other prepaid plans will remain unchanged, bmobile said.
It added all of its prepaid plans will continue to include 4G LTE Data, unlimited bmobile calls, unlimited text messages to anywhere in the world and additional minutes to call other local numbers and select international destinations.
“Our prepaid plans will also continue to provide additional value with unlimited Facebook and WhatsApp messaging, data to access select news sites and data for use while roaming,” the company added.
Bmobile also thanked its customers for their “support and understanding” as it does “what is necessary to deliver on our promise to provide you with the best experience on our network.”
